Dr Carmel Ferretti is part of the PIRI’s PremieStart team and completed a PhD in Psychology at the University of Melbourne in 2016. Her study evaluated a transactional model of factors predicting maternal sensitivity in a preterm population at 2 years of age and its relationship to child cognitive functioning at 2 years. She has extensive experience working developmentally with young children and in particular premature children and has been part of the PIRI team for the past 10 years.
