Dr Shariful Islam (MBBS, MPH, PhD) is a public health physician with a focus on healthcare innovation and artificial intelligence in health. He completed a PhD in Digital Health at Ludwig Maximilians University in 2015 and is recognised as a highly cited researcher in mHealth and global public health.
He previously led the Global Health Research Group at Deakin University and has contributed to multiple World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines and global health initiatives.
His work focuses on chronic disease prevention, digital health and AI-driven solutions to improve health outcomes. Shariful is also committed to mentoring emerging researchers and students.
