Garry Evans is a private consultant and former Group General Manager, BHP Group Services (1997–1998). He held a range of senior executive roles within BHP, including Group General Manager Human Resources and External Affairs at BHP Steel (1992–1997), and multiple leadership positions in human resources and corporate affairs at BHP Petroleum between 1984 and 1991.
He also held several directorships associated with BHP, including Chairman of Associated Airlines Pty Ltd and the BHP Donations Committee, Director of BHP Aitken Hill (Global Leadership Centre) Pty Ltd, Governor of the BHP Community Trust, and Director of Haematite Pty Ltd (BHP Superannuation Fund).
In addition, Garry served externally as Chairman of the ECA Asia Pacific Regional Advisory Board.
