PIRI conducts basic and applied research, develops evidence-based treatment programs to help parents make the transition to parenthood and to support the early parent-infant relationship. PIRI conducts research in perinatal depression and anxiety, infant development, mother-infant relationships, and wellbeing of fathers in the perinatal period. PIRI provides a unique contribution to early intervention by combining basic research and clinical expertise to address depression and other difficulties facing parents and infants. DadBooster Evaluation Study
Calling for dads to help evaluate DadBooster, a new program for fathers with a new baby experiencing signs of depression. PIRI is evaluating the effectiveness of the DadBooster program and is looking for 50 dads to help.

Beating the Blues before Birth (BBB) Study
The aim of the Beating the Blues Before Birth (BBB) study is to evaluate the benefits of evidence-based cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) treatment for depression in pregnancy, for both mother and baby.
