Donate to support parents and babies
Investing in the earliest years can change a lifetime
Perinatal depression and anxiety affect around 1 in 5 mothers and 1 in 10 fathers or partners in Australia. Your donation helps PIRI turn rigorous research into early interventions that improve parental wellbeing, strengthen parent–infant relationships and give babies the best possible start.
Make a tax-deductible donation
PIRI is a registered Deductible Gift Recipient. Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.
Why your support matters
Perinatal mental health difficulties can affect the parent experiencing them, their partner, their baby and the wider family. Without timely support, their effects may continue well beyond infancy.
PIRI develops and evaluates evidence-based treatments and early-intervention programs designed to reach families before difficulties become more severe.
What your donation can help make possible
Your support can help PIRI:
- develop and evaluate new early-intervention programs;
- translate research findings into practical support for families;
- improve the reach and accessibility of evidence-based care;
- build the evidence required to bring effective programs into wider use.
Why support PIRI
Established in 2001 and based at Austin Health in Melbourne, PIRI combines specialist research, clinical practice and program development. Its work has produced evidence-based interventions supporting mothers, fathers, babies and families during pregnancy and early parenthood.
