The Growing Role of Digital Mental Health

Digital mental health services have become increasingly popular, offering convenient and effective ways for consumers, carers, and families to access care. Whether you live in a regional area, seek flexibility around your schedule, or prefer anonymity, digital services can empower you to take control of your mental health journey.

PIRI has developed rigorously evaluated treatments for perinatal depression, supported by Stepped Care resources that offer a suite of Information, Prevention, and Universal programs through its platform, MumSpace.

Research shows that digital technology is transforming how mental health care is delivered, providing vital support alongside traditional in-person services.

About the NSQDMH Standards

Developed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, the NSQDMH Standards set a benchmark for the quality and safety of digital mental health services. These standards were created in collaboration with service users, consumers, carers, clinicians, service providers, and technical experts.

The standards ensure that:

  • Digital mental health services meet a high level of quality.
  • Users and their support people are protected from harm.
  • Service users can expect consistent, evidence-based care.

Why Accreditation Matters

Not all digital mental health services are created equal, and quality can vary significantly. Accreditation to the NSQDMH Standards helps users identify trusted services that are safe, reliable, and effective.
